Mercer Island Annual Report

Wow, Mercer Island gained significant momentum in 2011 with sales volume up 19% over 2010. Average sales prices dropped, but median sales prices remained nearly the same as we saw in 2009 and 2010. This is likely because a handful of multimillion dollar waterfront sales skewed the average price upward back in 2010, whereas the median price figure is less skewed by large and small sales and gives a better overall picture of market price trends.
